Year 3 WEMT
This is where strong foundations are built, before exam pressure begins.
- Writing from structure
- Reading for meaning
- Mathematical reasoning
- Introduction to thinking skills
Your child is capable. We help them turn potential into progress. One structured weekly class covering Writing, English, Mathematics and Thinking Skills, designed for Years 3–5 and preparation for OC and Selective School tests, in small classes of no more than eight.
Preparing students for entry to selective schools across NSW
Because what we're really building isn't exam results, it's the thinking, discipline and confidence a student carries for life.
WEMT brings together Writing, English, Mathematics and Thinking Skills, because the OC and Selective tests reward students who can apply different skills under time pressure, not simply learn four subjects separately.
This is where strong foundations are built, before exam pressure begins.
With the OC test ahead, Year 4 is where skills become more focused, timed and exam-ready.
With the Selective test ahead in Year 6, Year 5 is when students develop the depth, writing and reasoning skills they need.
We run an actual curriculum, written in-house, mapped to the NSW syllabus, and revised every year against what actually appeared in the exams, not what a textbook assumed they would.
Better understanding. Better thinking. Better results. We focus on the skills behind success, so students don't just know the answer, they know how to get there.
Think deeper. Work smarter. Go further. Our teaching principle
Tell us your child's year level and we'll help you find the right class.
We'll understand your child's needs and recommend the most suitable class.

We're looking for passionate educators who want to make a real difference in small, focused classrooms.
Small classes · Quality materials · Supportive environment
Yes. Fees are pro-rated to the weeks remaining, and we provide the notes and homework already covered so a student can catch up. Late in the Year 4 cycle we will be frank about whether it is worth starting.
Sessions missed through illness can be credited to the following term or refunded, provided we receive a medical certificate. Absences for any other reason aren't refundable or creditable, but we'll always try to place your child in an alternative class that week so they don't lose ground. The earlier you tell us, the better our chances of finding a spot.
Every session your child is given a printed booklet written in-house for that week. It opens with a short story that carries the week's idea, moves through warm-up and skill questions, then a full test-style task with lined pages, and closes with the marking rubric and a page where the tutor records the result with your child. Booklets are theirs to keep. By the end of term they hold a complete record of what was taught and how your child's writing changed.
Yes. There is no textbook to buy and no separate resource charge. Your child needs only a pencil case and a display folder to keep the term's booklets in.
Bring your child to a single trial and judge for yourself, no obligation, no pressure. We'll tell you honestly if we're not the right fit.
